Medical Botany is a 12-week online course unlike any other herbal course. 

This course is for you if:

1. You want to forage wild herbs for yourself, family, and community. 

2. You want to understand the specific phytochemicals and medicine in plants that bring healing.

MODULE 1

BOTANY & PLANT CLASSIFICATION. 

Fundamental to any journey into the healing world of plants is botany and plant classification. Botany and plant classification is the foundation that we will build upon over this 12-week course.

MODULE 2

FERNS & FERN ALLIES. 

Ferns and the fern allies are the first vascular land plants in the world. They hold amazing medicine and magic and are some of the most mystical plant allies we can befriend. You will learn how to identify, connect, and make medicine with ferns across the globe. 

MODULE 3

PINE FAMILY & MEDICINE.

Learn the medicinal plants in pine family. Learn which pines are safe to consume and which ones aren't. You will learn how to identify, connect, and make medicine with the different pine genera across the globe.

MODULE 4

CEDAR FAMILY & MEDICINE.

Learn all the medicinal plants in the cedar family. Learn how to identify medicinal plants in the cedar family with confidence. You will learn how to identify, connect, and make medicine with the different cedar genera across the globe.

MODULE 5

BAY FAMILY & MEDICINE.

In this module, you will learn the medicinal genera in the bay family. You will learn how to identify them and how to make medicine with the members of this family. 

MODULE 6

MAGNOLIA FAMILY & MEDICINE.

Your journey into the healing plant world will continue with the peaceful and nurturing magnolia family (Magnoliaceae).You will learn how to identify, connect, and make medicine with the different magnolia species across the globe.

MODULE 7

LIZARD'S TAIL FAMILY & MEDICINE.

In this module, you will learn the almost forgotten plant family Saururaceae, the lizard's tail family. You will learn how to identify, connect, and make medicine with the different  species in the lizard's tail family. 

MODULE 8-WATER LILY FAMILY & MEDICINE. 

Learn how to connect with the gorgeous, stunning wild herbs in the water lily family (Nymphaeaceae). 

MODULE 9-DAYFLOWER FAMILY & MEDICINE.

 Learn how to heal your digestive system with the dayflower family and the many medicinal members of this family. This family occurs throughout the world and you will take a journey across the globe to learn how other humans connect with the dayflowers.

MODULE 10-SMILAX FAMILY & MEDICINE. 

In this module, you will learn how humans across the globe connect with the medicinal plants in the smilax (Smilacaceae) family.

• Course starts February 13th, 2024, with graduation and certificates given on May 7th, 2024. 
• New content, including plant family videos, herbal medicine making videos, and botanical pdfs, will be released each week.
• Each week, we will have a live zoom call  at 11:30AM eastern time. All zoom meetings will be recorded and uploaded to your course platform. So no sweat, if you can't make the scheduled course time.
